Introduction to Green Buildings

This session defines what makes a green building, evolution and future of green buildings. It includes green building terms and concepts, such as integrative process, resilience, systems thinking, sustainable sites, location strategies, alternative transportation, water, material, and waste management, indoor environmental quality, and energy and atmosphere strategies. This session also dives into green building costs and benefits and various green building certifications, including LEED, Green Globes, BREEAM, Living Building Challenge, net zero buildings.
